Foodbank Christmas Campaign Commences
The 2013 Retail First, Quest Newspapers and All Purpose Transport Foodbank Campaign commenced today. With donation cages located in 19 Retail First shopping centres across South East Qld from 4 November 2013 to 31 January 2014, our aim to raise at least 30 000 kilograms of donations for Foodbank. All Purpose Transport will again donate our transport services to collect the food donations across South East Qld and deliver them into Foodbank. Please see the below Quest Newspaper link which includes a brief video from Foodbank Qld General Manager, Ken McMillan.

First commencing in November 2010, All Purpose Transport again joined forces with Retail First Shopping Centres and Quest Newspapers on a campaign to raise 15 tonnes of non-perishable food items for Foodbank to help those in need during the 2012-2013 Festive season.
This involved APT sending out vehicles to 19 shopping centres around South East Qld to empty the collection cages and deliver all donated food items to Foodbank at Morningside on a weekly basis for a period of approximately 4 months.
I would like to announce that the Campaign has been exceptionally successful this year with over 58 tonnes of non-perishable food items delivered to Foodbank by our All Purpose Transport Fleet. A special Thank You to those subbies who have assisted with these deliveries as we know that they can be time and labour intensive.

“Your support has been SO appreciated. Apart from all the help you gave us to pick up the pallet loads at the State Library, and all the hours and hard work back and forth from Greg (your driver); the fact that with the donation of the pallets the process will streamline the transport of books from our sorting shed (containers) at Bundamba to the Church and save a lot of sweat and hard work, especially for some of our elderly, yet very committed and dedicated volunteers. It has made All Purpose Transport’s support more valuable than simply a cost saving for the event. I hope, in appreciation of your support we have in some small way assisted your company, as you have assisted us. I look forward to maintaining a rewarding charitable partnership with All Purpose Transport and yourself.”
